The Concha y Toro Viña, Chile

The vineyards and wineries in Chile were very beautiful, and I had no idea they grew so many grapes, or that there is so much science in the growing of grapes, and fermenting of wine.

This is the Concha y Toro Viña (vineyard) a hours drive from Santiago in the Rio Maipo valley.  I've sampled a number of their wines since I have returned, and am a devotee of Chilean wines now.  The Concha y Toro buildings are mostly in the old colonial style.  We sampled several wines, had a tour of the facilities, and learned about their wines. Very nice.
