Ahu Tahai

Just outside of Hangaroa lies Ahu Tahai, where 3 Ahus have been restored.  The Moai on the right, with the eyes restored is the onlly "living Moai" that I saw.

With the eyes in place, the Moai do seem far more "alive".  This image is cropped from the original digital picture.
