Ahu Tahiri and the Inca Wall

This is a very strange Ahu, and incorporates what appears to be an Inca wall.  For me, having been to Peru and having seen the walls at Cuzco, and Machu Picchu, this was an amazing sight.  There are no records of the Rapa Nui people getting to Peru, which raises questions of how or why does this appear to be an Inca wall?  I  found out later that it only looks like an Inca wall, but isn't constructed with the normal angles, or the usual interlocking interior that Inca walls have.  But it still is a mystery in that someone had to have seen an Inca wall, and tried to replicate it.  Robert Stack, where are you when we need you?
